Exchange-traded funds tracking cryptocurrencies are on pace to eclipse $1 trillion in assets under management by week's end, according to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst Eric Balchunas. The milestone comes as the sector records $30 billion in weekly inflows—a torrential pace that WOULD smash annual records if sustained.

October 2025 has already witnessed $180 billion flood into crypto ETFs, a monthly haul that would rank as the highest ever recorded. The staggering figures signal more than capital rotation—they mark a fundamental restructuring of investment behavior as both institutions and retail traders abandon active management for algorithm-driven vehicles.

"This is the autopilotification of financial markets," says Shanaka Anslem Perera, noting how automated ETFs now absorb volatility and dictate price discovery. The feedback loop grows stronger with each inflow cycle: rising prices beget more inflows, which push prices higher still.
